2018-19 ISL Basketball Tournaments - updated 2/22/19

Results are in for the quarterfinal games of the ISL Tournaments from Friday, February 22nd. The semifinals will be on Sunday at St. Stephen's and St. Agnes with the championship games on Monday at SSSA. Montgomery County teams are italicized.

With their win over Sidwell Friends on Thursday, Georgetown Visitation earned a regular season co-championship (their 13th straight) and won a coin flip for the top seed.

The AA Division top 4 seeds hosted first-round games at 5 pm on Friday

AA Division Semi-Finals on Sunday, February 24th - All at St. Stephen's & St. Agnes
1. Georgetown Visitation vs 5. Stone Ridge at 2:30 pm
2. Sidwell Friends vs 6. Episcopal at 4:15 pm

The A Division top 4 seeds host first-round games at 5 pm on Friday
1. Maret (they have a bye)

3. Holton Arms - 32 vs 6. National Cathedral School - 35

MPSSAA Section Standings - Updated on 3/5/19 All MCPS schools are placed into an MPSSAA region for the state tournament, and all regions are divided into two sections.  The MCPS schools are spread across five different sections.  The teams' win percentage (not including December holiday tournaments) is used to seed the teams, regardless of what county they may reside. 4A West Region  Section 1 Standings 1. Churchill - 95.00% (19-1) 2. Whitman - 85.00% (17-3) 3. BCC - 66.67% (14-7) 4. WJ - 61.90% (13-8) 5. Einstein - 45.00% (9-11) 6. Kennedy -  4.76% (1-20) 7. Wheaton - 4.76% (1-20) Churchill is the favorite in the section and the region.
