Here is it!  The final #MoCoGBB #MCPS #Top10!  Feel free to debate all summer until our pre-season poll in December. Remember to check out the All-Division Teams ... #1   -  BCC HS  (18-9)  What a run by BCC!!! Possibly one of the greatest post-season runs in MCPS history - nothing like putting it all together at the end of the year.  BCC only had one four game winning streak all year until they entered their last two regular season games. Six wins later, they had secured the #3 seed in 4A West Section 1, had gotten "payback" playoff wins over then #1 Churchill HS and #2 Whitman HS (BCC was a combined 0-4 against both schools before the postseason) and won back-to-back 4A West Region Championships!  They fell to Old Mill HS in the 4A Maryland State Semifinal in a tight game. MPSSAA MD Region Final Predictions - Updated on 3/6/19 All MCPS schools are placed into an MPSSAA region for the state tournament, and all regions are divided into two sections.  The MCPS schools are spread across five different sections.  The teams' win percentage (not including December holiday tournaments) is used to seed the teams, regardless of what county they may reside. 4A West Region Final on  Saturday, March 9 3:00 pm at Richard Montgomery HS #3 BCC vs #1 Clarksburg Clarksburg has the better record at 19-5 compared to BCC's 17-8, however we believe that BCC should be favored in this game. HOW CLARKSBURG EARNED THEIR TRIP DOWN 355 TO RM... Clarksburg started out 16-2 with losses to a top Sherwood team and Richard Montgomery, however, then their schedule turned more difficult. Churchill - 95.00% (19-1) 2. Whitman - 85.00% (17-3) 3. BCC - 66.67% (14-7) 4. WJ - 61.90% (13-8) 5. Einstein - 45.00% (9-11) 6. Kennedy -  4.76% (1-20) 7. Wheaton - 4.76% (1-20) Churchill is the favorite in the section and the region. They have beaten the top two seeds in 4A North Section 2 (Sherwood and Paint Branch), the co-#3 seed in 2A West Section 1, and the #2 seed in 4A West Section 2, in addition to defeating Whitman once and BCC twice within their own section. The criteria for that award has not changed, it is open for any first year player on their team, whether they were on JV in previous years, transferred into MCPS, or are a freshman. 4A East Division Coach of the Year:   Tim Hobbs, Sherwood HS Sherwood had an 9 game improvement this year behind upperclass leadership and some star freshmen. Hobbs guided the Warriors to a Division co-championship, finishing 7-1 and splitting their head to head match-ups with Paint Branch. This was Sherwood's first division title since 1998. They also finished tied for first in the 4A North Section 2 and won the coin flip to be the #1 seed.
